An here for the (faster to read) Cracked.com article, which will explain the same thing in a more humorous way : [url][link] (look for paragraph n°3 at the bottom of the page "Two-Thirds of Gun Victims Live in the Same Body as the Murderer")
Gun control makes MORE violence.
If we stop selling guns legally, then the cartels will start selling them. When we began the war on drugs, they became much more powerful because now they could make money off of drugs. The cartels now have more power than the mexican government and we've spent hundreds of billions of dollars against them only for them to be 15x stronger. If we ban guns the cartels will be the ones selling them. You know that that means? There's still guns and now the cartels are even richer.
To reduce gun violence we need more gun owners, more mental institutions, and more care for the insane.
After spending, perhaps too much time, on Youtube, I feel as those I'm the only one with this opinion.
It makes absolutely no sense, the Pro-Gun nuts go on, and on about Mexico, yet they ignore the rest of the world. And, it's interesting, they decide to focus on a country that has been proven to fail to properly ENFORCE gun restriction. And enforcement is the whole purpose of a law in the first place.
So, why don't they focus on what gun control is truly about? Because it proves a legitimate reason to restrict them as it saves LIVES.
